CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Renee Halverson-Wright is one of the 22 contestants of 'The Golden Bachelor.' The 67-year-old was born and raised in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, and is currently living in Chicago, Illinois.

Renee is a former NFL cheerlead and was even the captain of the cheer squad for the Chicago Honey Bears. The contestant vying for Gerry Turner's heart is also an actor, shape fitness model, and IDEA fitness presenter.

The Bachelor Nation star has two sons, Brian and Jason, and is also a grandmother. She loves her family and is often seen posting about them on social media.

Being an author, Renee has written two books so far, namely, 'Running Country Roads and Life Lessons Learned', a biography about her dad, and 'Missing from the Sidelines: The Untold Stories of the Chicago Honey Bears NFL Cheerleaders', recounting her NFL days.

When not spending time with her children and grandchildren, Renee loves to plant flowers. She also likes to spend time with her cat and go for a walk around Lake Mendota and enjoys fitness classes.

According to her ABC bio, Renee is a "very romantic person." The most romantic thing that Renee has ever done for her partner is to make a blanket for him by herself.

Renee's father is 98-year-old but she hasn't yet stopped cheering him on. Gerry's date is often seen posting photos and videos with her father on social media.

She revealed in one of her posts one week ago that her father recently turned 99.

Sharing a selfie with her father when he was 98, Renee wrote, "Care taking has been my biggest challenge but nothing close to what my dad has endured."

She then revealed all the hurdles her father has gone through because of old age. Renee claimed, "Two hip replacements, broken femur and recent fracture of his other hip at 98 years strong!!"

She suggested to her fans, "When you fall…GET UP!!!" Renee then thanked Ayers family store for gifting her father a reclining chair.

Renee is a family person. Therefore, she wants someone who equally values the importance of family in her life.

'The Golden Bachelor' will release on Thursday, September 28 at 8 pm EST on ABC.
