She moved to England for three years after graduating from Sydney University of Technology, then returned to Australia. She has written and directed plays for her community theatre organisation in addition to being an author. Miller published The Innocent Mage, his first novel, in 2005. This was the first book in the Kingmaker, Kingbreaker series, and was followed by Innocence Lost shortly after. The Innocent Mage was a nominee in the 2005 Aurealis Awards fantasy section and received widespread recognition upon its initial release in Australia. She’s authored several more books since then, including two for Fandemonium’s Stargate SG-1 series. James Tiptree, Jr. Awards recognised her novels Empress of Mijak and The Riven Kingdom. Under the pen name K. E. Mills, Miller published The Accidental Sorcerer, the first novel in the Rogue Agent series.
